In industries as diverse as mass transit, telecommunications, real estate development, and healthcare, Margie Martin has established herself as a well-respected communications professional.
With more than 25 years of experience, Margie Martin has directed communication needs for clients that include coordinating statewide public information campaigns for the Office of the Attorney General, serving as communications director for Moving Hillsborough Forward (a countywide transportation initiative), and working with the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority since its inception in 2007 to conduct research, community education, engagement and outreach. She has also consulted for senior management at corporations such as TECO Energy and Verizon.
Prior to starting Martin Communications in 1994, Martin directed public relations, marketing and advertising for one of Florida’s largest real estate development firms, WCI Communities, Inc., for seven years. At WCI, she served as company spokesperson, worked closely with the senior population at Sun City Center on community development issues, and coordinated visits of national and state officials and dignitaries to the Tampa Bay area including two former presidents of the United States. She also assisted the developer in every aspect of public communication for 10 lifestyle communities throughout Florida.
Martin, a native of Florida, holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from University of South Florida.

Senior Account Executive
With more than 25 years experience in marketing and public relations and 10 years with Martin Communications, Jeanette Miller has extensive agency as well as corporate marketing experience. She has held marketing positions for companies such as Eckerd Corporation, JumboSports, Uniform City Catalog Corporation and Westinghouse Communities.
She has a diverse public relations writing background including press releases and business writing as well as feature articles for the Associated Press.
Her professional experience in online media, website development, social media, print and broadcast provide valuable insight into the strategic thought process necessary to develop and implement a successful and comprehensive communications plan.
Twelve years retail marketing experience allowed her to manage national and local publicity campaigns, grand opening promotions, special events, community relations and issues management.
Jeanette is the senior account executive for Martin Communications and has managed several key accounts including the University Area Community Development Corporation, LandMar Group, Payless Car Rental, Associated Press and Salvation Army Correctional Services.
She is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in Mass Communications with emphasis in public relations and speech communications.

Celeste McLaughlin is a passionate, experienced public relations professional who has served on the Martin Communications team since 2003. From writing, editing, and producing online materials to executing programs and events, her enthusiasm for clear, concise communication provides results for clients.
Celeste is a skilled and practiced writer, providing web copy, media releases, feature articles, and other business communications for clients of Martin Communications. She has also written feature articles for the Associated Press.
Celeste brings talent and expertise, professionalism and years of practical knowledge to the public relations programs of Martin Communications clients. She was vigorous in her efforts to bring the messages of the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority to community groups through the organization’s speakers bureau while also crafting messages and materials for the client. Her work has provided key elements for many clients, including SkyPoint and Element condominiums and LandMar Group communities.
Celeste’s public relations experience includes responsibility for internal communication and employee programs at Seminole Electric Cooperative, Inc., and positions with the Office of the Mayor in the City of Orlando and Florida Municipal Power Agency.
Celeste graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising/Public Relations from University of Central Florida in 1999.

Theresa Hackney serves an essential role at Martin Communications, handling all bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, and providing support for the agency’s many functions. Both clients and staff rely on Theresa for excellence in record keeping and behind-the-scenes organization.
Theresa handles diverse tasks with boldness and efficiency. From research to ad placement, events to surveys, Theresa’s work is the heartbeat of the agency. Her “get it done” attitude allows her to complete tasks quickly and with ease. She often goes out into the community to engage people in client efforts. Theresa was integral in Dannon’s product launch of the DanActive brand in the Tampa market.
In addition to her work with Martin Communications, Theresa has taught swimming lessons to children in Temple Terrace for 20 years. Her passion has driven her success as she works to save lives in a state where drowning is the leading cause of death for children under 5.
Theresa’s deep, local roots also include being a native Floridian and a nearly lifetime resident of Temple Terrace. She graduated from Tampa Catholic High School, attended University of South Florida, and now volunteers at Corpus Christi Catholic School and Church, where both she and her children attended school.
